Transported to the Kingdom of Hagenheim

Hello there, fellow human! At this moment I am probably having a killer time having fun in the sun, building sandcastles, or eating ice cream.
Anyway, I received The Golden Braid from book look bloggers (apparently, auto correct doesn't think "bloggers" is a word, so it switched it to "book look joggers" thank you, auto correct!) a looong time ago and just got around to reviewing it now... does anyone else do that?? Receive something to review and put it off for as long as possible?
I would rate "The Golden Braid" by Melanie Dickerson 5 out of 5 stars. This was an amazing book!

It is full of mystery, excitement, and adventure! It had a super unexpected ending. I would recommended this book to those who love fairytale retellings, mystery, adventures, & Christian fiction.

//does this book sound interesting to you? do you like fairytale retellings?//

*I received The Golden Braid from BookLook Bloggers in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

The Scream Heard 'Round the World

Hello! I'm currently writing this in my room while in hiding from the maintenance man who is fixing our water heater. *nervous chuckle* I'll make sure to type quietly so he doesn't suspect I'm in here... ;) Oh, and what do you think of my new blog design? Allie made it. :)
A while back, we had a day were it warmed up a lot outside, and I was miserable. Apparently, I liked the cold so much that my happiness depended on it, and I don't want that to happen! So, that day I made up firmly in my mind that I was going to enjoy the warm weather, and not be all depressed because it isn't snowing. :) I was greatly inspired by this quote:

"It has been my experience that you can nearly always enjoy things if you make up your mind firmly that you will."
-Anne of Green Gables

So, I am enjoying the warm weather! Howa' bout you?

We went down to the water (we go down to the water a lot, lol) and I took all these pictures there.

I am so excited... I have a trip coming up to the beach with my awesome family. To the BEACH. Ah, I can just imagine it now! Sandy feet, salty air, beach houses (we are staying in one!), Frisbee, fishing poles, bathing suits, ice cream "10 times a day" (as my cousin called it)... I can go on and on! I ordered a swimsuit from an adorable etsy shop called "Cover Up For Christ" for our trip. The suit is so cute, and I actually put it on every once in a while just looking forward to the time I get to wear it to the beach!

"Oh yay I caught a fish!"

On this episode, of Fishing with Roby...

Okay, okay... remember this post? Well, when we went back to the same place, we found a message in a bottle for real this time! Roby was so excited, he started screaming/squealing like crazy! The paper inside only had a few people's initials, but we were still pretty excited. ;)
Dad came home one Friday evening from work with... The Force Awakens! Roby and I started screaming/squealing once again (there has been a lot of squealing going on in our house, can you tell?!). It made for a really fun movie night... I love Kylo Ren!
Oh, and a double rainbow appeared by our house!

I can not believe I have 40 followers now! Thank you!

How Chewbacca Stole Easter

Our Easter was great--good church service, good music, cute black & white chevron skirt to wear, good jellybeans, good friends, good family. But do you know what made it even better? When Roby and I got downstairs to see what we got for Easter, the first thing I saw was a star wars logo. And you have no idea how happy that made me. I freaked out when I saw that it was...

(and btw, I really like Kylo Ren)
Roby announced that he had gotten a Chewbacca mask, and it was so cool! The mouth opened when Roby opened his mouth, and out came the iconic Chewie howl.

During a break in schoolwork the other day, Roby was acting crazy and started dancing with his mask on, and my mom pulled out her phone to videotape him. Lets just say, that video has become a huge hit in our house. :) We sent it to my aunt Jessica. Due to Roby's slight embarrassment, we can't share it with any other people. Mom and Roby made a deal before she sent it--"Only show aunt Jessie, okay?"

(these pictures were quite a hassle to take, brothers are sooo cooperative!)
"Catch me if you can, cottontail!"

I am realizing more and more everyday that my life is like one big embarrassing story. ;)

Okay, I have come up with the greatest compromise ever, and I'm not sure why more people don't try this! When it is too cold out to wear shorts, but you don't want to wear pants (basically me every day), wear pants, and roll up the bottoms 3-4 times. Viola! Instant capris! :)

We were recommended "The Great British Baking Show" by some awesome people (wink, wink) and it is such a great show! They treat each other so kindly, it just makes me happy.

Messing around with my new tripod. :)
Thanks for reading! You are so, so loved.
