I have strep throat! | Awana Store

Hi! I feel like I haven't posted in forever! This week has been pretty busy with school. On Wednesdays, we go to Awana. Awana is an afterschool activity where we play games and memorize Bible verses.

When we memorize a Bible verse, we get an Awana buck. Here's a pic.

After a few months there is an Awana store. We use the awana bucks we earned to buy stuff.
Here is my favorite things that I got.

Washi tape!

Love this clock!

This is an adorable bag! My mom wants me to give it to her for mother's day! :)
Today, I was at school, and I just felt like ugh. I was dizzy, my head hurt, and my throat hurt.
I have never gone to the nurse's office before, but I was seriously considering it. I went to two "classes" and I finally made the decision to go to the nurse's office. When we were walking down I was afraid that I was not sick enough to get picked up. When I walked in I was the only one in there! It was seriously perfect timing! The nurse looked surprised to see me there. She was very nice, and she called my mom so I could ask her if she could pick me up. Fifteen minutes later and my mom was there. When we got home she called the doctor's office to make me an appointment.
Walking in to the doctor's office, my stomach was doing cartwheels. (Did you know I can't do a cartwheel?) I am always afraid to go to the doctor's office. But anyway, it went great! It turns out I have strep throat. No school tomorrow! Be prepared for another blog post!
Currently I am reading this awesome book, Treasures Of The Snow. I feel like I am living out the story along with the characters!
What book are you reading currently? Do you do Awana? Have you ever had strep throat?

Feeling Happy!

Today I woke up to the sound of birds chirping through my slightly cracked open window. The sunlight spilled into my room. I felt so warm and cozy under all my blankets. I just felt so happy.
Last night my mom came home from her women's retreat. As she was going through her bag, she said, "I have something for Abi." I get so excited when someone says that they have something to give me! She pulled out a book called Girl Talk What Every Lady Should Know!. I started to flip through the pages and noticed that she wrote a message on the back of the cover-to me!

Here is what she wrote:
The Lord has
blessed you to
be beautiful, strong,
and unique! What's inside matters. Walk
in all the great things
 he has for you!

Jennell Riddick

I was so excited! I love the book!

And, to end this post, here is a selfie I took with my dog, Lexi!

April 2015 Overview~The Tornado Warning, Sleepover, and more!

Here is an overview of everything I did in the month of March. Even though it is only the 24th, I have a ton of free time today so I decided to do it now.

To start out the month, the Basiles were at our house. Best week of my life!

Then there was Roby's baseball game...

Then, the day after, we went to a professional baseball game.

My most favorite picture- I had no idea it would turn out like this when I was taking it!

About a week ago, there was a tornado warning in the area. Even though it was a half hour away, there is always that fear that it would come to our house. Inside our house all we could hear was the "BOOM...BOOM...CRASH!" of the thunder and lightning.

It started out as heavy raining.

Lexi really didn't like the rain.
She kept looking through the windows.

Apparently Roby was to "scared" to sleep in his own room. He just used that as an excuse to sleep in my room. :)

I told Roby to pose. Here's what he did. :)

When I get home from school, she runs upstairs and grabs a stuffed animal off my bed, so we can play tug of war.

She also runs in circles in our backyard from excitement! Here are some Crazy Steve action shots.

I hope you enjoyed!

One...Two...Three Srikes Your Out!

A little while ago Roby joined Little League Baseball. He LOVES it! It seems like that is all he talks about. All his friends are on the team, too.

Today was his very first baseball game. He was so excited, that he went to bed early last night!

All the baseball teams came together and did announcements and stuff.

Roby up to bat!
(At the time I took the picture I thought the fence looked really bad in the picture. But now, looking at it, I think it looks kind of cool!)

Beautiful mom!

(As you can see, I have been experimenting with my camera's black-and-white setting.)

Roby pitching!

                                          Thanks for reading! xoxo, Abi
